QX-3 Econo Fuel Chip Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do the chips work?

When the proprietary blend of resonant frequencies programmed into the Econo-Fuel Chips is transferred onto the vehicle’s fuel, it impacts the properties of the fuel (gasoline and diesel). The proprietary brand of resonant frequencies influence the fuel molecules in the fuel tank - just like opening them up and allowing them to hold more oxegen.  Even more importantly, less combustion-particles leaving the exhaust leads to a significant reduction in emissions, including visibly less smoke in Diesel engines. Furthermore, in particular in the lower RPM range, more engine power will be noticeable. The engine operates more calmly and has a smoother, more homogenous torque-band. As a result, the engine is preserved better which leads to noticeably reduced emissions and increased fuel efficiency, meaning increased mileage!

2. Where did the technology come from?
The technology was developed in Europe, using BIOPRO’s proprietary Energy Elevation Chamber (EEC) to transfer and program a unique blend of resonant frequencies onto the Econo Fuel Chips.

3. Was there testing done, and if so, where was it conducted and what did you find?
Yes, testing was done. Since the technology was developed in Europe, most of the initial testing was conducted there. Testing was conducted at certified testing sites in controlled environments. We tested the performance of the Econo Fuel Chips on Cars, Trucks, SUVs, buses, Luxury Sedans, Sports Cars, Compact Cars and Motorcycles. What we found was that when a set of 2 Econo Fuel Chips was properly applied to any of these vehicles, engine power output – in particular in the lower RPM range - was increased, emissions were noticeably reduced, and fuel efficiency (gas mileage) increased on average by 14%!

4.  Some of our cars have computers that tell us how many miles-per-gallon we get. For those cars that don’t, how do you calculate your Car's Miles Per Gallon (MPG) Yield?

That’s actually very easy.

1.        Fill up your car's gas tank all the way.

2.        If your car has a trip odometer, reset it, or record the master odometer mileage.

3.        Drive your car as you normally would, and let your gas tank deplete to at least a half of a tank of gas. (The lower you let your tank go, the better average rating you will get, but don't run out of gas!)

4.        Get to the gas station and fill your tank again.

5.        Record the amount of gas it took to refill the tank.

6.        Record the elapsed trip miles or new odometer mileage.

7.        Then get the miles traveled from the trip odometer, or subtract the original odometer reading from the new one.

8.        Divide the miles traveled by the amount of gallons it took to refill the tank. The result will be your car's average Miles Per Gallon yield for that driving period.

9.        After going through this procedure, apply the Econo Fuel Chips to your vehicles fuel tank and repeat this process from the very beginning.

10.     Compare the results you got without the Fuel Chips with those you got with the fuel chips and enjoy the BIOPRO difference.

5. Has there been any testing done with these on Semi's (18 wheelers)?
Yes, the Econo Fuel Chips proved to be effective on large trucks. However, the QX3 product was designed for commercial vehicles and while we have recieved feedback from many satisfied truckers, actual results do vary based on many specific conditions. With that said, we recommend that you put them to the test and contribute to our success stories. After all you have lot's to gain and nothing to lose!

6. People are experiencing increased power particularly noticeable in the low RPM range . . . why is this?

When the proprietary blend of resonant frequencies programmed into the Econo Fuel Chips is transferred onto the vehicle’s fuel, it impacts the properties of the fuel (gasoline and diesel). As a result, the combustion-strength in the cylinder head is increased, which in turns increases the pressure on the pistons, resulting in increased engine power, particularly in the low RPM range.

7. Where do you apply the chips on the fuel tank?
In order to achieve increased mileage and reduced emissions, two Econo Fuel Chips are needed per vehicle for commercial vehicles. Installing the Econo Fuel Chips is simple and easy to do – it literally takes seconds! Before applying the Chips, thoroughly clean a small area on the bottom of your gas-tank of grease and dust. If necessary, use a wire-brush to clean the area properly. Peel of the paper on the back of each Chip, place them approximately 5-10 inches apart from each other and firmly press the adhesive side of each of the Econo Fuel Chips onto the cleaned area. While the Chips’ adhesive is strong, we recommend using super glue to securely attach the Chips to the gas-tank. While not necessary in most cases, you may want to consider hiring a mechanic to help you attach the Chips on your tank if you do not feel comfortable doing it yourself.

If possible, try to find an opening in the cover to that allows you to slide the Chips under the cover to apply them directly on the tank, preferably towards the bottom of the tank. Applying the chips onto the cover (rather than the tank) will make the chips less effective, since the increased distance between the chips and the fuel make it more difficult for the resonant frequencies to be transferred onto the fuel.

8. If the fuel tank has a shield or cover on it, can the chips be applied to the shield?

If possible, try to find an opening in the cover to that allows you to slide the Chips under the cover to apply them directly on the tank, preferably towards the bottom of the tank. Applying the chips onto the cover (rather than the tank) will make the chips less effective, since the increased distance between the chips and the fuel make it more difficult for the resonant frequencies to be transferred onto the fuel.

9. Are the Econo Fuel Chips equally effective on diesel versus gas vehicles?
Yes, testing has shown increased gas mileage and reduced emissions on both gas and diesel vehicles.

10.   I have a large tractor-trailer big rig with 2 fuel tanks . . . Do I need chips for each tank? Each tank is over 100 gallons . . . do I need more than two chips per tank? Make sure that the chips are placed towards the bottom of the tank so that the maximum amount of fuel is exposed to the frequencies transferred by the Econo Fuel Chips. In order to achieve increased mileage and reduced emissions, two Econo Fuel Chips are needed per vehicle. The QX-3 are designed to operate in pairs (two QX-3s) per 30 U.S. gallons (113 Liter) tank of fuel. It is recommended that you use and additional QX-3 set for each additional 30 U.S. gallons (113 Liter) in fuel tank capacity.

11. Is it necessary to change my vehicle’s oil-change schedule in order for the Econo Fuel Chips to be effective?
In order for you to benefit from the Econo Fuel Chips, it is not a prerequisite  to change oil sooner than recommended by your vehicle’s maintenance schedule. However, if you want to accelerate the performance of the Econo Fuel Chips and your vehicle, it is advisable to change your vehicles’ oil after 4-5 tanks of gas (or 1,500-2,000 miles – whichever comes sooner) AFTER having applied the Chips to your gas tank.  Carbon deposits that built up in the engine over time will drop into the oil pan after the Chips have been applied, and cleaning out these deposits will accelerate the performance of the Chips.

12. How long do the Chips last?  Is there an “expiration” date?

Research indicates that the chip should continue to function properly as long as it is not damaged, removed or reprogrammed.
